Our Outstanding Curriculum
The curriculum at Unsworth Academy is broad, balanced and exciting.
Through an array of subjects at Key Stage 3 our expert teachers ensure learners foster a love of learning, are intellectually challenged and lay foundation building blocks for future success.
In Years 10 and 11 our learners embrace personalised subject combinations, designed to maximise potential and lead to bespoke post 16 training/education and bright futures.
Throughout this journey at Unsworth Academy, our learners’ experiences are enhanced by awesome extra-curricular opportunities. Before school, lunchtime and after school our activities encompass a range of interests from computer coding to reading class novels to championing sports skills (and much more!)
Furthermore, learners are guided at each stage to focus on their futures through our high quality careers programme. We pledge that from Year 7 all learners will participate in at least one meaningful encounter with an employer every school year as we benchmark our provision against the Gatsby Charitable Foundation requirements.
