Curriculum Intent

Our Key Stage 4 curriculum intends learners to realise their personal potentials as they transition from Year 11 to future pathways.

Going forwards, September of Year 10 sees the start of Key Stage 4 and precise study designed around GSCE subject specifications. Learners will study eight subjects, including English Literature which is taken a year early at the end of Year 10.

Current Year 10s and Year 11s chose options at the end of Year 8 on a different curriculum model. Year 10 will sit their English Literature exam early during this academic year. The allocated hours for current Year 10 and Year 11 learners is the same and follows:
