Key Stage 3 Curriculum
Key Stage 3

Curriculum Intent

Our Key Stage 3 curriculum intends to:

  1. Establish “foundation building blocks” of knowledge and skills that will enable success at Key Stage 4
  2. Provide immediate “intellectual challenge” to learners so as to stimulate their intelligences.
  3. Generate a “love of learning” in each subject, which manifests in commitment, engagement and aspiration.

At Key Stage 3, learners are divided into two equal ability bands. Groups within these bands may be set on ability or be mixed ability in nature.
